Sista 2 Sista Youth Officer – National AIDS Council

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced female candidates to fill in the following position within the National AIDS Council.

Sista 2 Sista Youth Officer – National AIDS Council

Station: NAC District Office, Chimanimani.

Reports to: District AIDS Coordinator.

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Community mobilization and sensitization, identifying community volunteers and stakeholders involved in the sister to sister programme.
  • Training and capacity building; designing and organizing training programmes for sister mentors and club members
  • Monitoring and Evaluation; conduct support and supervision visits to mentors to monitor progress and effectiveness of programmes
  • Research and Documentation; compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, documenting and recording and filling of all programmes information
  • Coordinates logistical arrangements for programme activities

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Diploma in Health or Social Sciences or Development studies.
  • Should be a female aged between 22 to 30 years.
  • At least 6 months of field experience in a related field.
  • Leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English and relevant local language
  • Excellent computer skills.

Finance Assistant – National AIDS Council

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the following position within the National AIDS Council.

Finance Assistant – National AIDS Council

Station: NAC Head Office, Harare.

Reports to: Finance Officer

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Process request submitted to finance department.
  • Capture financial transactions into Pastel accounting system and Global Fund reporting templates
  • Undertake project technical support visits to partners and NAC provincial offices.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Global Fund Finance Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Accounting or full diploma in professional accounting (CIS, ACCA, CIMA).
  • At least three  (3) years relevant experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Pastel Evolution is an added advantage.
  • Be in possession of a clean class 4 drivers’ licence.

District AIDS Coordinator – National AIDS Council Station: NAC District Office- Tsholotsho

District AIDS Coordinator – National AIDS Council

Station: NAC District Office- Tsholotsho

Reports to: Provincial Manager

KEY FUNCTIONS
  • Promote, facilitate and coordinate the development, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive District multi-sectoral response to HIV and AIDS in line with the Extended ZNASP III and other polices and guidelines.
  • Prepare the integrated district plan and budget for HIV and AIDS interventions.
  • Provide technical support and capacity building on HIV and AIDS programming to NAC structures and partners.
  • Mobilize stakeholder participation in HIV and AIDS programmes in the District.
  • Monitor and evaluate programmes in line with the National Monitoring and Evaluation system.
  • Develop and maintain a Database on HIV and AIDS programmes.
  • Mobilize resources for HIV and AIDS programmes.
  • Provide Secretariat services to the DAAC.
  • Documentation and dissemination of Best Practices.
  • Compile and submit periodic plans and reports on HIV and AIDS programmes to the Provincial office and relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee the financial and administrative functions of the District office.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • University Degree in a relevant Social / Health Science or equivalent.
  • Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation / HIV&AIDS counselling or equivalent.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in HIV and AIDS, social or community development work.
  • Understanding of basic financial management and general administration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • A clean class 4 driver’s license

PROVINCIAL MANAGER National AIDS Council Station: Matabeleland South

PROVINCIAL MANAGER X 1- National AIDS Council

Station: Matabeleland South

Reports to: Operations Director

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Promote, facilitate and coordinate the development, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive Provincial multi-sectoral response to HIV and AIDS.
  • Provide technical support and advice to the Provincial/District AIDS Action Committees and other key stakeholders in order to enhance their effective contribution to the multi-sectoral effort against HIV and AIDS
  • Submit programmatic, financial and other reports to NAC Head Office as maybe required from time to time.
  • Promote networking and collaboration among various stakeholders involved in the Provincial multi-sectoral response to HIV and AIDS.
  • Facilitate documentation and dissemination of experiences and lessons learnt on HIV and AIDS prevention, care, support interventions in the Province
  • Overseeing the management and operations of the Provincial Office.

COMPETENCIES

  • Promotes the vision, mission, and strategic goals of NAC.
  • Promotes knowledge management in NAC and a learning environment in the office through leadership and personal example.
  • Ability to lead formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development program and projects, mobilize resources and financial management.
  • Strong IT skills, web-based management systems

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Social/ Health Sciences degree or equivalent. A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in the area of HIV/AIDS work or other related health/social development work at managerial level.
  • Excellent documentation and writing skills.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Be in possession of a clean class 4 drivers’ licence.

Youth Intern (UNFPA Supported) X 2- National AIDS Council

Contract Duration: 11 Months

Station: Harare

Reports to: Youth Coordinator

 

Are you young and innovative? Do you have a passion for excellence and really want to make meaningful change in your generation. NAC is presenting an opportunity to dynamic and self-motivated young persons to join its Youth Internship Programme that is supported by UNFPA.  The youth internship programme aims at creating opportunities for youth leadership in responding to HIV and AIDS. It identifies youths with interest and passion and places  them in an internship programme based at NAC Head Office in Harare, with travel to provincial and district offices around the country. It also provides opportunities for channelling energies towards creative use and empowerment with leadership skills to mobilize communities in halting AIDS and addressing its impact. The Youth intern will assist programme staff in supporting the Young People’s Network on HIV and AIDS (YPN) and other youth-related interventions of NAC. The intern will also perform other related tasks including interfacing with the organization’s stakeholders. The intern will be exposed to a variety of skills development and learning opportunities that will enable to rapid growth in various areas of the national response. A small stipend will be paid to meet day to day expenses.  QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES ·       At least two ‘A’ Level passes with a pass in English language at “O” level·       Must be aged between 18 and 24 years old.·       Proof of voluntary work within their communities·       Must have experience in HIV and AIDS work·       Ability to communicate fluently in English·       Must be smart, focused, energetic and be able to relate well with people·       Must be able to use Microsoft word, excel, power point and websites·       Must be good in report writing.
