 Position: Global Fund (GF) Coordinator

Station: Head Office

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation of the Global Fund Programme for the National AIDS Council (NAC) and its Sub-Sub-Recipients (SSRs).
  • Manage the execution of the Global Fund Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) and ensure regular reporting on the same.
  • Coordinate the execution of the Grant by SSRs and Implementing Partners (IPs).
  • Collaborate with the Principal Recipient (PR) and the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) to ensure effective implementation of Global Fund programmes.
  • Engage and advocate for support from key stakeholders for the Global Fund’s HIV and AIDS Programme.
  • Promote the integration of Global Fund-supported HIV and AIDS initiatives into the national HIV and AIDS response strategies at all levels.
  • Organize and oversee capacity-building initiatives for the SSRs and IPs.
  • Lead the development and execution of resource mobilization strategies to ensure the sustainability and growth of the associated programmes.
  • Foster networking and facilitate information exchange among stakeholders associated with the Global Fund and related programmes.
  • Document and share best practices related to HIV and AIDS initiatives supported by the Global Fund.
  • Supervise staff in the Global Fund Programme Management Unit (PMU) and ensure mainstreaming and integration of the Unit’s activities within existing NAC structures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health/Social Sciences, Development Studies or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in programming, project planning, monitoring, and evaluation, or equivalent.
  • A relevant Master’s degree will be an advantage.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years in a management and supervisory role.
  • Experience in managing partnerships with government entities, UN agencies, NGOs, and development aid organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, programming, monitoring, and evaluating projects.
  • Proven experience in managing and supporting human resources to achieve desired outcomes.

 

Competencies

  • Proficiency in comprehending the operational processes within public sector organizations and UN Agencies.
  • Ability to fosters knowledge management within NAC and cultivate a learning atmosphere through exemplary leadership and personal conduct.
  • Demonstrable capability to guide the formulation, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of development programs and projects, as well as to mobilize resources effectively.
  • Good appreciation of grant financial management.
  • Strong ICT and data analytics skills.
  • Unwavering integrity.
